Statement

We never stop evolving. Whether in a negative direction or positive direction, we move. We grow. Nature is inevitable, and never stops growing. In the blind confidence of youth, I thought I knew everything; we all thought we knew everything. You start to see the danger in the world, and if you look close enough, then you start to see the joy. We keep the joyful memories as precious, and cast away the bad ones, or so we'd like to. But it is those memories that leave that bad taste in our mouth that stick with us the most. We name them truths. But the past doesn't actually exist. Only this moment exists. Only this moment is the truth.

I have tried to capture the past every day as a bad habit. I have explored this truth of mine only to see that my creations in the past bring me to something I needed to know in the present moment. No matter how simple the creation, it always gives me insight to how much I have grown and changed. Sometimes, I am surprised that a creation even came out of my own hand. My works are an exploration of the inevitability of growth and change. I gravitate towards simple forms that say volumes about the perfection of the natural creations that already exist.
